Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the acceptable use of the Sophie Connects services ("Services"). This AUP is in addition to any other terms and conditions of the Sophie Connects Terms of Use Agreement. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our Services to engage in, foster, or promote illegal, abusive, or irresponsible behavior, including but not limited to:
- Illegal Activities: Any activity that is illegal under applicable law, including but not limited to, child pornography, gambling, and pyramid schemes.
- Harmful Content: Content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
- Infringement of Intellectual Property: Any activity that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets.
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial messages.
- Security Violations: Unauthorized access to or use of data, systems, or networks, including any attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures.
- Harassment: Harassing, threatening, or embarrassing others.
2. Content Standards
You are responsible for any content that you create, transmit, or display while using our Services. You agree not to post or transmit any content that:
- Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another’s privacy, tortious, or contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts.
- Victimizes, harasses, degrades, or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability.
- Impersonates any person, business, or entity, including Sophie Connects and its employees and agents.
3. Enforcement
We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to investigate any violation of this AUP or misuse of our Services. We may:
- Remove, disable access to, or modify any content or resource that violates this AUP.
- Report any activity that we suspect violates any law or regulation to appropriate law enforcement officials, regulators, or other appropriate third parties.
- Suspend or terminate your access to our Services.
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, you agree to immediately notify us and provide us with assistance, as requested, to stop or remedy the violation.
